Welcome to the Quilt Africa Fabrics

2026 International Summit

July 8-10, 2026

The Quilt Africa International Summit is more than just an event; it's a 3-day immersion into a vibrant world designed to ignite your creativity and connect you with a global community of passionate textile artists.

It's a unique opportunity to:

Discover: Uncover new ways to incorporate the beauty and boldness of African textiles into your projects.

Connect: Forge lasting relationships with fellow quilters and textile artists, building a supportive network that will nourish your artistic journey.

Create: Leave with a renewed sense of inspiration and the practical skills to bring your unique vision to life.

Hi, I'm Miriam!

The scarcity of resources on quilting with African Fabrics was the spark that led me to host the first Quilt Africa International Summit in 2020.

I have always believed that our fabrics belong in the highest circles of textile art. Sharing the stories, patterns, and colors of Africa isn't just about quilting; it is a reflection of our culture and a gift to the global art world.

This year, we are going deeper. We want to challenge you to channel your creativity into new mediums, refined methods, and higher levels of skill.

We have prepared sessions to help you curate your own professional body of work.

I can’t wait to see what you create.

See you there!

JOIN US FOR THIS YEAR'S SUMMIT!

Grab your ticket and join me, our esteemed speakers, and expert presenters as we explore this year’s theme: Curating Your Body of Work.

.

Our goal is to elevate your artistry by providing the framework to transform individual projects into a cohesive collection.

Every session is designed to inspire you to build a professional portfolio and gain the confidence to showcase African Fabrics as the centerpiece of your creative pursuit.
